Types of boilers
Specialist training is required for engineers to work on Oil and LPG Boilers. Ron can install, service and maintain boilers from a variety of manufacturers, including Oil and LPG.
All boilers should be serviced on an annual basis, however Ron strongly recommends that Oil and warm air boilers are serviced at least once a year.

What is a combi boiler?
A combi is short for 'combination'. A combi boiler provides heating and hot water directly from the boiler. it is an ingenious space-saving idea, and an increasingly popular choice in UK homes. A combi boiler is both a high-efficiency water heater and a central heating boiler, combined (hence the name) within one compact unit. Therefore, no separate hot water cylinder is required, offering space saving within the property.
What is a regular boiler?
This typically forms part of a conventional heating system, and is linked to a series of water tanks that feed the boiler and radiators. Storing hot water is key to this system, so unlike a combi, a plentiful supply of hot water is always available. Space in the loft and airing cupboard is required for tanks.
What is a system boiler?
Like a regular system, this uses stored hot water. But because the water is pumped from the boiler straight to the radiators and hot water tank, it's a faster, more economical system. What's more, many of the components of the system are built-in, making it easier, quicker and more affordable to install.
